Designing Your Curriculum

The WGSS program has been designed to offer maximum flexibility for students to tailor their majors and minors to their own interests and post-graduation plans. All students must take WGSS 200, the introductory course. Majors must also take WGSS 490 in the senior year. Beyond that, students are free to design their own program of study within the five categories of courses.

Students interested in declaring a WGSS major can do so by declaring the major online which will then route to the Program Coordinator. Upon declaration, our WGSS Administrative Coordinator will assign a WGSS advisor for each declared major. Advisors and students will work together to forge a plan for completing the major.

Past Courses

When designing your curriculum, you may find it helpful to review past courses, which are organized by both term and subject.
