WGSS Honors Society

The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Honorary Society recognizes outstanding scholars in the discipline of women, gender and sexuality studies.  Its goals are the promotion of scholarship and gender equality in and out of the classroom.  It is a forum for all students and facutly to express interest or concern over women's issues and gender issues. The society strives to foster understanding among women and men in a university setting. Read the society's bylaws.

WILL* is a nationally recognized four year program for students interested in exploring gender and diversity issues both in and out of the classroom. The program combines a minor in WGSS with leadership opportunities, activism projects, and career preparation.

By participating in WILL*, students find a supportive and intellectually challenging community; develop close friendships with other students; meet with scholars and activists in small group settings; interact with faculty and staff mentors across the university; and engage in contemporary human rights struggles. Students leave WILL* equipped with the awareness, confidence, and experience to effectively guide their visions for a better world.

The program is open to women, transgender, and gender non-conforming students.
